Manage your budget as part of a complete view of your wealth
A budget helps you understand your everyday financial flows. Wealth tracking measures what you build over time.
My Wealth brings these two approaches together in one application, helping you track your budget, accounts and wealth without treating them as separate subjects.
You can organize your monthly budget while retaining a view of your assets, liabilities, net wealth and financial goals.
Plan a monthly budget for each account
My Wealth lets you define a monthly budget for each account and record planned income, expenses and investments.
Each entry can have a category, amount, currency, frequency and next occurrence date. A monthly salary, annual insurance premium or weekly expense can therefore share the same calendar without being copied every month.
Occurrences can be marked as completed. For an investment, the amount for a particular month can also be adjusted without changing the entire schedule.
Organize transfers between your accounts
A transfer from a current account to a savings account is neither income nor an expense for your overall wealth.
My Wealth represents it as a transfer between two accounts. Depending on the selected mode, you can schedule a fixed amount, transfer an available balance or aim to maintain a minimum in the source account.
This distinction prevents the same movement from being counted twice and makes each account projection more accurate.
Anticipate changes in your account balances
A budget is not only for recording what has already been spent.
My Wealth can also project balances from the opening balance, planned occurrences and transfers between accounts.
The chronological projection helps identify when an account may fall below the desired level. The monthly summary distinguishes credits, debits, investments and transfers, and provides a recommended minimum balance.
You can therefore use your budget as a planning tool rather than a simple expense statement.
Connect your budget and wealth
Budgeting and wealth tracking operate over different time horizons, but they are closely connected.
Your budget describes planned flows through your accounts; your wealth represents assets, liabilities and the net value built over time. My Wealth connects the two without confusing a cash movement with a change in asset value.
For example, you can plan the month's salary and charges in the current account, a transfer to savings and then an investment linked to a goal. The projection shows the effect on accounts while the wealth views retain the long-term perspective.
Track much more than your expenses
My Wealth is first and foremost wealth management software.
Alongside your budget, you can track:
- property;
- savings accounts;
- shares, ETFs and funds;
- REITs;
- cryptocurrencies;
- precious metals;
- other investments;
- loans and other liabilities.
The application can then analyze gross and net wealth, performance, income, risks and allocations.
Your budget therefore becomes part of a broader financial view.
Use your budget to prepare for your goals
Everyday financial management is more meaningful when it is connected to longer-term goals.
My Wealth lets you define investment goals based on a target value, allocation or passive income level, and plan the associated effort.
Budgeting and goals can therefore be used together: the former helps structure available cash flows, while the latter gives direction to the evolution of your wealth.
Analyze your overall financial position
Good financial management is not limited to meeting a monthly budget.
My Wealth also analyzes:
- wealth diversification;
- concentration;
- availability;
- geographical distribution;
- debt levels;
- historical evolution.
Income entered in the budget notably complements the debt analysis: My Wealth can compare loan repayments with average monthly income. When income has not been entered, the indicator is marked as unavailable rather than replaced by an arbitrary estimate.
This approach places budgeting decisions within a much more complete view of your position.
Keep your financial data under your control
The budget is stored with the rest of your wealth in the My Wealth file. This local-first approach avoids scattering your monthly flows across a separate service and, on both Windows and Android, lets you protect everything with encryption.
One tool for the short and long term
Using one application for budgeting and another for wealth can make it difficult to understand the complete picture.
My Wealth instead brings both perspectives together:
What is happening in my accounts?
How is my position evolving?
What is my wealth worth?
How significant are my debts?
What goals can I pursue?
You therefore have one application for tracking current finances while retaining a long-term view of your wealth.
